Nia; originating from Swahili, means purpose.

niaforms challenges the perception of perfection that we are made to feel obligated to achieve. What makes it unique is its defiance of perfection by embracing the sweet imperfections of being handmade.

Nia also carries the letters of my own name. As I take clay and shape it into a form, I inevitably find myself immersed in the process. I mold, shape, and transform—fully aware that I will never be perfect. And as the clay transforms, I have learned to love my imperfections, embrace my uniqueness, and deepen my connection with myself. In this way, while striving for better versions of niaforms, I remember to honor myself as well.

Lastly, Nia means bright. Just as this unique piece has brightened my own path with these intentions, I hope it brings light to your journey as well.

With love,

Nihan
